Fennell Family Wines is the personal project of Steve Fennell, a multi talented winemaker whose roots in grape growing run deep. After earning a geology degree from UCSB, Steve shifted course to study winemaking at UC Davis, eventually honing his craft in Australia, Napa, and back home in Santa Barbara. He spent 13 years as head winemaker at the historic Sanford Winery, and today serves as GM at Rancho Sisquoc, while crafting small-batch wines under his own label. Founded in 2019, Fennell Family Wines reflects Steve’s passion for interpreting vineyard, variety, and vintage — with pure, expressive wines sourced from some of Santa Barbara County’s finest sites.
