Kamen Estate Wines
Before there was a vineyard, there was a story. In 1980, screenwriter Robert Kamen (The Karate Kid series and over 20 other major films) celebrated the sale of his first screenplay by hiking the Mayacamas Mountains above Sonoma. He stumbled onto a wild, rugged 280-acre parcel with no water, electricity, or roads—and bought it a week later.
He’s lived there ever since. Over time, he planted vines organically—becoming one of California’s earliest certified organic vineyards—and began by selling fruit to top-tier producers. By the late 1990s, Kamen began bottling his own estate wines, staying true to the land and crafting deeply structured, mountain-grown Cabernet and Syrah.
Daniel worked with these wines in his first wholesale gig and has sought them out ever since. Today, we are thrilled to bring a small allocation of these soulful, 100% estate-grown wines to the Central Coast.
