Piazza Family Wines

Ron and Nancy Piazza originally planted Mt. Carmel Vineyard in the late 1980s—now one of the Sta. Rita Hills’ most iconic sites. For decades, this fruit went to some of the top producers in Santa Barbara County. But they always dreamed of creating a label of their own.

That dream came to life in 2017 with the purchase of a 14-acre vineyard in the high elevations of Ballard Canyon, now known as Bella Vista Vineyard. With two estate sites—Bella Vista (certified organic) and the historic Mt. Carmel—Piazza Family Wines was born.

The wines are made with minimal intervention to honor site and vintage, and production is intentionally small. From finely balanced Chardonnays and Syrahs to expressive Pinot Noirs, these wines reflect the Piazza’s longtime connection to this land and their dedication to crafting something meaningful from it.
