Piro Wine Company
Marc Piro knew he wanted to make wine from the age of nine—declaring it from the backseat of his family’s old Mercedes as they drove through the vineyards of Sonoma. That early vision took shape through harvests across Argentina, New Zealand, Western Australia, and California, and later under the mentorship of two Santa Barbara legends: Jim Clendenen and Bob Lindquist.
In 2016, Marc launched Piro Wine Company, a small, focused label centered on Pinot Noir—his first love—crafted in an old-world style with new-world fruit. Since then, he’s expanded to include single-vineyard expressions of Chardonnay and Sangiovese, all in tiny quantities.
Today, while carrying the torch as head winemaker at Au Bon Climat, Marc continues to express his own voice through Piro—producing small-batch wines that are balanced, elegant, and full of soul.
